Raja along with telecom secretary Siddharth Behura, Raja's former personal secretary RK Chandolia and Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Balwa are lodged in the Tihar Jail here.

The four were slated to appear before Special CBI judge OP Saini through video-conferencing.

But due to technical glitches in the video conferencing system linking Tihar Jail and Patiala Court complex, they were produced before the judge in person.

The judge extended the judicial custody of Raja and three others on a plea by the CBI which contended that the probe into the case was not complete.

Swamy's plea
A court also referred Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy's plea that he be made a prosecutor in the case to a proposed special court to be set up for hearing of the 2G scam.

"The SC had directed setting up of an exclusive court to deal with cases arising out of the scam. District and Sessions judge-1 is requested to kindly entrust this file to the court so constituted," special CBI judge Pradeep Chaddah said.
