Political Career: Jain plunged into politics at the young age of 21. Coming from a family associated with the Congress for at least two generations, Jain worked at the party’s block level, slowly rising in the Delhi Youth Congress. He fought his first assembly election in 1998 and was re-elected in 2003.

Family: His wife Mona is a homemaker. His elder son helps him out in his business while the younger one is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration. A family man, Jain said he preferred spending his evenings and Sundays with family. “I eat out with them and watch movies with the family whenever we have time,” said Jain. He was also an avid cricket follower. “I was an all-rounder and was especially remembered as a good spinner,” recalled Jain.

Cars: Jain drives a Hyundai Getz while his family uses a Chevrolet Optra.
