Robbers enter house, rob woman of cash

A 43-year-old woman, working as a manager with a private company, was robbed by two men at her house in East of Kailash. Two robbers gained entry to the house when the woman who had returned from office at 2.30 am, came out to turn off an electric switch.

The victim, Kumari Namita, works as the team leader at a private company. "She switched on the water motor and came out at 3.15 am to switch it off. It was when she was going back inside that two unidentified men barged into her house and tied her mouth and hands with a scarf," a senior police officer said.

The complainant told the police that the robbers took away cash and cards and also forcefully took the PIN code of the ATM card. The robbers threatened her with dire consequences and also took away her mobile phone.

"Initial investigation suggests that there were three persons and one was waiting outside. They did not harm the woman," the officer added.
