According to the police, Arjun was behind the brutal murder of Pramila Shukla, a housewife who was found dead at her house in Rohini’s sector 7 on Tuesday.

“During interrogation, Arjun said that he was sent to Shukla 20 days ago by a West Punjabi Bagh-based placement agency. He had asked for R1,000 from Shukla to go home, but she had refused,” said a police officer investigating the incident.

The police said Arjun had seen Shukla keeping a large amount of cash in a cupboard which prompted him to plan the murder.

“Arjun took R25,000 from the said cupboard and went straight to the railway station. After being asked to de-board the train for travelling without a ticket in UP, he took a train to West Bengal but was caught midway,” DCP Sharma added.
