A bench comprising Justice DK Jain and Justice Madan B Lokur sought replies on a plea filed by two advocates, who said that the additional charges levied by the dealers were in violation of the Delhi Motor Vehicle Act. The Delhi high court had earlier dismissed their plea.

The petitioner alleged that the charges collected by the dealers under the guise of handling/logistic/loading/unloading/service charges was illegal.
