"Delhi Police have informed us they would not be able to provide adequate security for our sealing squads due to the deployment of personnel for poll process and so the drive is unlikely to resume tomorrow," an MCD official said today.

The official said the civic body is likely to re-start the court-ordered drive on Tuesday.

When contacted, a member of the Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee said the MCD was supposed to resume the drive tomorrow.

"There is no need for the panel to issue a direction in this regard as the drive was suspended till Sunday only," he said.

The MCD has suspended the drive on Tuesday last due to non-availability of police force during the municipal polls.
