Seven held for impersonating in police exam

Seven men were arrested for impersonation during a written examination organised by the Delhi Police for the recruitment of drivers, police said on Monday.

Six separate cases of impersonation were registered at the northeast Delhi's Sonia Vihar police station against the accused,later identified as Manish, 24, Amit Kumar, 19, Sandeep Kumar, 24, Surender Singh, 24, Umesh, 23, Ashok, 21, and Ajay Kumar, 23, all of whom hail from different districts in adjacent Haryana, said VV Chaudhary, additional CP (northeast).

According to police, it was keeping in line with the strict security system, which included screening, scrutiny of documents, identity and the fingerprints of prospective candidates, that the impersonators were detected.
