‘Shri’ Hafiz Saeed in House

Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed may be the 26/11 mastermind but Sushilkumar Shinde referred to him in Parliament using honorifics like ‘Mr’ and ‘Shri’.

In his statement on the visit of Abdul Rehman Malik, Shinde began by referring to the LeT founder by his name, but towards the end of his speech, he added honorifics ‘Mr’ and ‘Shri’.

“We had been given to understand...that Mr Hafiz Saeed had been arrested on the charge of being a part of the 26/11 conspiracy.... They have given us papers pertaining to the detentions of Shri Hafiz Saeed in 2002 and 2009.”
