Six passengers killed in Mathura train mishap identified

Six of the 22 passengers, who were killed in a train accident near Mathura on Wednesday, have been identified, a Railway official said.

They are Priya Srivastav (Ballabhgarh), Dinesh (Gwalior) Geeta (New Delhi), Jai Tiwari (Gwalior), Hemant (Rajasthan) and Brijesh Chaturvedi (Morena), he said.

According to the list released by the Railways, those injured admitted to Mathura's Maheswari hospital are Banas (Rajasthan), Abhisek (Rajasthan), Anuradha (Agra), Inderjeet (Rajasthan), Raj Kumar (Rajasthan), Pankaj (Rajasthan), Kanta Meena (Ballabhgarh), Shaily (Ballabhgarh), Rumali, Nand Lal (Faridabad) and Chandoo.

Sonam from Rajasthan, who was earlier admitted to Maheswari hospital, has now been transferred to AIIMS trauma centre in Delhi. Rinkoo and Kakoo, admitted to Maheswari hospital, are from New Delhi.

Eight injured passengers have been admitted to Methodist Hospital in Mathura. They are Raj Shree, Hitesh and Maya from Rajasthan, Satya Narayan from Jhajhar, Vishnu Prasad from Neemach, Basanti and Asshish from Delhi and Inderjeet.
