Snarls in central Delhi

Vehicular traffic on the arterial roads in central Delhi came to a standstill on Tuesday during evening peak hours due to closure of Rafi Marg between Sunehri Masjid and Rail Bhawan roundabouts. HT reports.

Vehicular traffic on the arterial roads in central Delhi came to a standstill on Tuesday during evening peak hours due to closure of Rafi Marg between Sunehri Masjid and Rail Bhawan roundabouts.

All the arms in C Hexagon got clogged and it took hours for people to commute on these roads. Finally, around 7.30pm traffic police had to open Rafi Marg.

On Monday, issuing an advisory, Delhi traffic police had imposed a complete restriction on traffic movement on the road till the Parliament session is on.

"Following unprecedented jam, we have withdrawn the ban on traffic movement on the stretch," said a traffic police officer.
