The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a snatcher who was involved in a case where he allegedly pushed a woman from a flyover in east Delhi.

A receiver of stolen property has also been arrested. The accused Navin (21) was arrested along with Manoj from Nand Nagri.

During interrogation, the accused Navin said that on January 15 he pushed a girl off flyover in a snatching bid. “At around 8.45pm, when she reached near Karkari Mod, Navin came from behind and tried to snatch her bag and when she resisted, he pushed her down and she sustained injuries,” Ashok Chand, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime).

The girl had sustained several injuries in the incident as she fell from the flyover. The girl fell from a height of around eight-feet.

The police said that one of the associates of the accused Kapil is absconding and efforts are on to apprehend him.
