Subramanium alleged that the investigation and subsequent chargesheet in the case was nothing but a bail out package for the accused police officers.
Seeking transfer of the case to the CBI, the additional solicitor general said Gujarat faced a systematic collapse in the enforcement of the rule of law.
Subramanium alleged that many officers were involved in hushing up the case.
Surabamanium said the investigations records being presented to the apex court have been manipulated. What was being given to the court in sealed covers was not the investigation reports by the Inspector V.L. Solanki, but the action taken reports which were nothing but a hogwash, he alleged.
