Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday congratulated US President Barack Obama for being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Party sources said Gandhi would be writing a personnel letter to the US President soon. 48-year-old Obama is the fourth US President to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
