Spurious liquor kills three, four fall ill

Three men died and four others fell ill after consuming adulterated liquor in Aman Vihar area of Outer Delhi on Saturday.

Ravi, one of those who fell ill, lost his eyesight.

According to police, the three — Prakash (37), Nabi Mohammad (35) and Sandeep (32) — died during the course of treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital. All were residents of Prem Nagar-I.

Police have detained one Amit Kumar who had sold the liquor. “We are questioning him,” a police officer said.

Around seven people, who had complained about stomach ache and vomiting were brought to the hospital on Friday. During the course of treatment Prakash said the group had consumed the liquor together.
