Students' group favours semester mode

The students, who have formed a group called the DU Semester Forum, held up placards demanding speedy implementation of the system.

"Many students waste their time in the annual mode. Also, there will be a better chance to interact with teachers as we'll have more classes," said Neha Chaudhary, a Maths (Hons) student at Miranda House.

Though the semester mode syllabi in most courses have been approved by the Committees of Courses, many teachers have been protesting against the manner of the implementation of the system for over a year now.
