Cabinet Secretary K.M. Chandrasekhar has written to ministers that the details should be submitted for annual accounts of assets and liabilities. This is in reference to a home ministry’s code of conduct for ministers in the Central and state governments.

According to the code, a person after joining the government as a minister should submit the details within two months of joining office.

In case of the Central government ministries, the information is to be provided to the PMO and in case of state ministers to the respective CMs.

The ministers are also required to give details about their and their family members’ business interests.
