Sugar body corrects India map
The Sugar Technologists' Association of India has changed the distorted map of India on its logo, but only after showcasing the country without Kashmir during a three-day sugar expo at Nairobi. Subhendu Ray reports.

The Sugar Technologists' Association of India (STAI) has changed the distorted map of India on its logo, but only after showcasing the country without Kashmir during a three-day sugar expo at Nairobi.
HT reported this on July 2, when the international sugar meet began.
The distorted map showed the state of Kashmir as missing and Gujarat was located erroneously. The correct map has replaced the old one.
A senior STAI member said the organisation had not used the distorted map intentionally and had replaced it as soon as the error was brought to their notice, he added.
