According to the Delhi Traffic police, waterlogging gave them a tough time managing traffic in at least 20 places.

Traffic moved at snail's pace in Azadpur and Kalkaji, on Ring Road, Badarpur MB Road and near Kashmiri Gate Metro Station, among several others due to waterlogging.

Traffic slowed down under the Modi flyover, around the Qutub Metro Station, at Dabri Palam Road, at Mathura Road-Bharon Road link, New Rohtak Road, at Ashok Vihar T-Point, GTK Road, said traffic department sources.

Massive waterlogging near Badarpur railway flyover resulted in a bus, carrying around 30 passengers, getting stuck there in the morning, traffic department officials said.

"Situation would have been worse had this been a working day. Unlike previous rainy days during the monsoon, overall situation was, sort of, under control at many places as vehicular traffic flow was less on roads. However, places in South and North Delhi were worse affected," said Ajay Chadha, Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic).

Meanwhile, central verge tore and created a bottleneck for the traffic on the road in front of Guru Nanak Eye Hospital at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Marg.

Besides this, a tree fell down on the street at Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, blocking Gate Number 7 of GB Pant Hospital, which caused massive traffic problem in the area. In all, seven trees were reportedly uprooted on Sunday.
