Sunny sky helps finish pending repair work
Two days of sunny sky gives a breather to the Delhi's civic officials. HT reports.
For days now, civic agencies have been lamenting the slow pace of work because of the incessant rainfall in the city. But, the last two days sunny sky has given a breather to the officials.

Civic authorities — under the scanner for slow preparations ahead of the Commonwealth Games — were a happy lot as the pace of work picked up in most areas.
In areas such as Bhairon Marg, UP Link Road, Barapullah Elevated stretch and MilleniumPark, black-topping of roads was started again after the rain relented for two days.
“We are hoping to finish all work in the coming two days, if the weather permits,” said Rakesh Misra, chief engineer, Public Works Department.
The rain, meanwhile, seems to have granted the wish of city authorities for a respite. The Met department has predicted sunny weather for coming days.
“Rainfall will see a dip in the coming week. Already, the monsoon has started to withdraw... and the city can expect respite from rain for some time,” said BP Yadav, director, Weather Forecast, Meteorological Department.
