Suppliers needn't fear N-bill

He said the suppliers voicing their concerns over the clause 17b in the Civil Labiality for Nuclear Damage Bill before it had become law were perfectly fine. Now that the legislation is sealed everybody has to go by it.

He said suppliers — both domestic and international — are set to get a boost from the Indian nuclear sector.

The suppliers had raised concerns about the liability legislation having strict provisions on operators' right to take recourse for a period of eighty years, arguing the clause is not in sync with similar legislations around the world.

Regarding the November visit of US President Barack Obama, Singh said it will help strengthen the strategic relationship between the two countries.
