Surajkund drowning: Navy divers to the rescue

Divers of Indian Navy were pressed into service following reports of a man drowning in a lake in Aravali hills area in Surajkund a few days ago.

The local police are also working on other angles of the mysterious disappearance.

“We have not been able to trace the body as yet,” Station House Officer, Surajkund, Jitesh Malhotra said, adding, “the Navy divers will come again on Saturday to continue the search.”

Police and fire department teams were rushed to Surajkund area following reports of man drowning in a lake on Tuesday.

Nitin Kumar Singh (23) of SGM Nagar area in Faridabad had gone to the lake with his friends for a swim.

The police found Singh’s clothes and mobile phone on the lakeshore.

The police said the man had been depressed for some time and that how he drowned can’t be confirmed.
