Profession: Before joining politics, Bittoo had a business dealing in automobile spare parts, which his brother and uncle now run.

Education: Has studied till Class XII. “I had enrolled myself in the BA programme course but my father died during that time and I had to look after my family business,” said Bittoo.

Political career: Bittoo has been associated with the Congress since 1977. He contested and won the MCD elections that year. “I was amongst the four councillors who were given a party ticket to contest Delhi Assembly elections in 2003. I won that election too,” he said.

Family: Wife Jasbeer Kaur is a homemaker. They have two daughters and a son. An ardent fan of Mukesh, Pal listens to his songs whenever he gets time. “I love listening and humming to the old tunes. They are pure classics,” he said. Bittoo also plays cricket in his neighbourhood with his party workers.

Cars: Bittoo owns a Honda City.
