Swine flu: Count up with four new cases

Four new cases of influenza A (H1N1 virus) were reported in the country on Sunday even as the latest figures from the World Health Organisation put the worldwide count at 59,814 cases.

Four new cases of influenza A (H1N1 virus) were reported in the country on Sunday even as the latest figures from the World Health Organisation put the worldwide count at 59,814 cases.

One case each was reported from Hyderabad, Gurgaon , Kolkata and Mumbai.

A 10-year-old boy, who travelled from the US, self-reported at the identified health facility on June 26. The woman infected in Gurgaon is the sister of a person who tested positive on June 26.

Doctors at the Kolkata airport found a five-and-half-year-old girl, who flew in from Bangkok, with flu symptoms.

The Mumbai case is of a 45-year-old woman, recently returned from the US.
