T2 ready for Haj pilgrims, says DIAL

With few days left for Haj pilgrimage to begin, Terminal 2 of the IGI airport is ready with all the amenities to serve around 32,000 pilgrims expected to travel to Saudi Arabia this year from here, airport authorities said on Saturday.

With few days left for Haj pilgrimage to begin, Terminal 2 of the IGI airport is ready with all the amenities to serve around 32,000 pilgrims expected to travel to Saudi Arabia this year from here, airport authorities said on Saturday.

"The erstwhile international terminal (T2) will be used for Haj operations for the second consecutive year," I Prabhakara Rao, DIAL CEO said.

The first batch of piligrims will leave on September 29 from T2 and the last is expected to leave by October 31. Specific arrangements have been made at the terminal building in coordination with other agencies like the customs, immigration, police and airlines for the convenience of the pilgrims, he added. The pilgrims are expected to return from Jeddah between November 11 and December 12.
