Tata Sons’ top director to step down

Tata son's Executive Director Alan Rosling will step down from the board of directors of the company after March 31, reports HT Correspondent.

Tata son's Executive Director Alan Rosling will step down from the board of directors of the company after March 31. A Tata Sons spokesperson said that Rosling who joined the company in 2004, had decided to look for a change in his business career.

“It was decided by mutual agreement that Alan’s contract would not extend beyond March 31, 2009. Alan had decided to look for a change in his business career,” the spokesperson said.

Rosling was a member of both the Group Corporate Centre and Group Exective Office of Tata Group and was responsible for the Group’s drive to internationalise.

He has been based in Mumbai since 1998 and was the chairman of the Jardine Matheson Group, India.
