A 20-year-old student of IP University was crushed by a speeding Haryana Roadways bus in north Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Aakash Chauhan, a resident of Yamuna Vihar area. The errant bus driver fled the spot, leaving the bus behind, police said.
In the second accident, an eight-year-old boy was run over by a speeding truck on Wednesday night in Chandni Chowk. The victim, Zahid, was travelling on a rickshaw in Hauz Qazi when the truck hit them. The truck driver Mohammad Kalam Ansari has been arrested.
The third accident took place in Vasant Kunj, when a water tanker overturned and its driver got crushed. Moving at high speed, the tank driver Ranjan Yadav, 35, could not control his vehicle and hit a divider.
