Three members of a family were found dead in their Behrampur house in Vijay Nagar area of Ghaziabad near NH-24 on Tuesday night.

Police said the bodies of Monu Maso (12), his sister Khushbu (15) and their sister-in-law Arti (22) were found on different floors in the house. While Arti and Khushbu were found battered with a stone and their bodies bundled inside beds on the ground and first floor, Monu was found dead on the first floor. The head of the family, Shanker Mahto, works at a private printing press in Noida.
"I found the main door latched from outside when I returned from work and no one was there. After searching for them, we found the two bodies in the bed boxes and my son on the first floor," said Manju Mahto, mother of the two teenaged victims.
The police later detained two neighbours, Mithlesh Singh and Ramesh Kumar, on suspicion. The two are friends of Sonu, Arti's husband.
"We have detained these two men but the motive of the murders is yet not clear. The one-month-old child of the victim was found unhurt," senior superintendent of police (SSP) Raghubir Lal told Hindustan Times.
