The restrictions have been imposed due to road construction being carried out by the Public Works Department, said traffic police officials. “Restrictions will be effective from 11pm to 6am,” said a police officer.

During this period, commercial vehicles will be diverted from Dhaula Kuan loop to Outer Ring Road via the Gurgaon road.

Non-commercial traffic however, will be allowed till the foot of Moti Bagh Bridge, after which vehicles can use the service lane on the left. The road runs parallel to the bridge.

However, traffic police has advised motorists to avoid the congestion by either taking the Sardar Patel Marg or San Martin Marg to reach New Delhi or to take Panchsheel Marg if they want to go to east Delhi.

“But there will be no diversion of traffic on Shanti Path and Rao Tula Ram Marg,” said a traffic police officer.
