While four flights were cancelled and 100 were delayed because of the fog at the airport, the city remained largely fog-free. Thirty trains have been cancelled owing to the fog while 230 trains were delayed / rescheduled.

This is the second time in the last four days that the minimum temperature went below five degree Celsius. Before this, the coldest day of the season was December 16 when minimum temperature dropped to 4.7 degree Celsius and maximum to 21.7 degrees.

According to the MeT office, the minimum temperature will go up to seven degree Celsius on Wednesday and there will be fog in the morning.

At the airport, the situation was far better than Monday with no delays due to weather in the Capital. Though some flights were delayed, it was due to poor weather conditions at the destinations.
