Two gates of Kashmere Gate Metro station closed

The entry and exit gate nos. 5 and 6 of the Kashmere Gate Metro Station (adjoining the Shahdara Flyover) will be closed for commuters from Wednesday for the construction of the upcoming new underground Metro station.

The entry and exit gate nos. 5 and 6 of the Kashmere Gate Metro Station (adjoining the Shahdara Flyover) will be closed for commuters from Wednesday for the construction of the upcoming new underground Metro station.

The new Metro station will come up at Kashmere Gate on the Central Secretariat - Kashmere Gate corridor of Phase 3.

With the construction of the new station, Kashmere Gate Metro station, which registers a footfall of around 1.2 lakh commuters daily, will be converted into an interchange station.

The escalator, which was at gate number 6 has been shifted to gate number 3 for the convenience of commuters, said a DMRC spokesperson adding that adequate signages had been provided at the station.
