Two held with banned drug

Two persons have been arrested from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) for carrying 60 kg pseudo-ephedrine — a banned drug — worth R48 lakh in the Indian market.

Two persons have been arrested from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) for carrying 60 kg pseudo-ephedrine — a banned drug — worth Rs. 48 lakh in the Indian market.

The arrested duo have been identified as Akhtar Hussain and Amir Khan, both natives of Manipur. According to a senior CISF official, two passengers carrying big bags came to Gate 3 of Terminal 1D. “They were travelling to Guwahati. They appeared to be nervous and so their baggage were thoroughly checked,” Hemendra Kumar, CISF spokesperson said.
