The duo, allegedly involved in atleast 43 cases of burglaries and theft, were arrested in south Delhi's Pushp Vihar and have been identified as Surender (19) and Shyamji (20), HGS Dhaliwal, DCP (south), said.
With their arrest, stolen property worth around R2.50 lakh has been recovered.
The stolen articles included four TVs, two gas cylinders, two suitcases full of clothes, two mobile phones, two cameras and jewellery stolen from Azadpur and Model Town in the recent past.
"They committed thefts and burglaries almost on a daily basis. In the past, in the month of January last year, Shyamji
along with his associates had robbed and stabbed a factory employee of R5,000 but could not escape the spot and were apprehended by public," Dhaliwal said.
Shyamji was arrested in a robbery case registered in Ashok Vihar and remained in jail for about one year.
"The gang would consume liquor and target those houses in the late evening where lights were found switched off,” said Dhaliwal.
