Uncle beats 10-yr-old to death
A 10-year-old boy was allegedly killed by his uncle in Bharat Nagar area of northwest Delhi on Saturday.
A 10-year-old boy was allegedly killed by his uncle in Bharat Nagar area of northwest Delhi on Saturday.
According to the police, the victim’s relatives tried to cremate the body without informing the police. Some unknown caller informed the police, who reached the cremation ground and took the body in their custody.
The victim, Moin Khan, was living with his uncle and other family members in JJ colony in Bharat Nagar.
He is a native of Bihar and had come to Delhi a few years ago to live with his uncle. His parents are still in Bihar.
“We haven’t been able to establish the reason behind the murder as the main accused is absconding. The boy’s parents have been informed and we are waiting them,” said Meenu Chaudhary, DCP (northwest).
Police say, the murder could be the result of a dispute. Khan’s uncle Salimullah is absconding. “He has been beaten to death with a blunt object. We will conduct the post-mortem examination after the parents arrive,” said a senior police officer. “Teams have been dispatched to nab Salimullah,” Chaudhary added.
A case has been lodged and investigations are on.
