Unidentified men loot toll collection van in Bawana

Four unidentified men intercepted a toll tax collection van in Outer Delhi on Tuesday morning and decamped with around Rs 1.25 lakh after holding hostage a security guard and two employees at gunpoint. HT reports.

Four unidentified men intercepted a toll tax collection van in Outer Delhi on Tuesday morning and decamped with around Rs 1.25 lakh after holding hostage a security guard and two employees at gunpoint.

They also took the double-barrel gun of the guard and their Tata Sumo car. The incident took place in Bawana around 8.30am when a toll collection van was intercepted by the four men.

When the van stopped, the men dragged the security guard and the employees out of the van and snatched the cash bag. The van was barely 100 metres from the Bawana toll tax.

The accused were on foot and after committing crime, they ran away with the cash. A case has been registered. They employees were returning after collecting money from Bawana toll tax when the incident took place.
