According to sources, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation is yet to pay dues of Rs 55 crore.

“Despite many meetings and follow-ups, the North Corporation has not paid long outstanding dues. If we don’t get the money how will we survive? Earlier, there used to be no problem with the PWD. If we don’t disconnect, customers who pay will not get electricity,” Sudarshan Saini, chief (commercial) of NDPL, said.

Government employees at the CGO complex were in for a rude shock on Monday as they found electricity supply had been disconnected. Power supply of two buildings of CGO Complex at Lodhi Road was disconnected.
