Use technology to create transparency
It is disappointing to see how well laid out procedures are diluted by personal whims and fancies. Use of technology can make a big difference.
It is disappointing to see how well laid out procedures are diluted by personal whims and fancies.

In my view, technology can make a big difference. For example, why don't we have an online portal for Delhiites where a person can log on, file the complaint, gets a complaint number and the FIR is routed automatically to the concerned police station?

How do we believe the police?
I left my place on February 13 to meet my aunt in Punjab and the same night, some unidentified people broke into my house and took away all the valuables (a good amount of jewellery was present at my house as I had recently got married) and official laptops belonging to me and my wife.
I reported the same to AK Tyagi, the present SHO at Uttam Nagar, the same day i.e February 14 but despite several visits, repeated requests and being made to feel like a culprit instead of a victim, I got an FIR on February 16.
Moreover they were least bothered about the measures that should have been taken to avoid such heinous crime in their area.
To talk about this, I met Virender Dahiya (ACP west) but he told me that this is an international problem and just a normal thing.
