With the government announcing more reforms including in insurance and pension sectors, Congress today expressed confidence that it will be able to ensure passage of concerned bills in Parliament by bringing other political parties on board.

With the government announcing more reforms including in insurance and pension sectors, Congress on Thursday expressed confidence that it will be able to ensure passage of concerned bills in Parliament by bringing other political parties on board.

"We will try to take different political parties in confidence and we are sure that we will succeed in getting the relevant bills passed," party spokesman Rashid Alvi said.

Noting that the decisions taken by the government today were "very important", he said that as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said, economic reforms is the need of the hour to take the country forward.
