Woman crushed by truck

A 25-year-old woman died after the bike she was riding on was hit by a truck at Geeta Colony flyover today afternoon.

Police said the woman, Savitri, was riding pillion and her husband was driving the bike. "Around 3.30pm, they were going towards their east Delhi house when a speeding truck hit the bike from behind. Savitri fell from the bike and was crushed by the truck," a senior police officer said.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The truck driver has been arrested.
