A 20-year-old woman had a miraculous escape after a bullet went past her head when a man opened fire on another person with whom he was having a fight in north-west Delhi, police said today.

The incident took place in Jehangirpuri around 10.30 pm Friday when one Durga Prasad got into a fight with an
alleged notorious person of the area, Chotu.

The woman, Rajni, was watching the scuffle from her balcony when Chotu allegedly fired in the air to scare Prasad and others standing there, police said.

The bullet brushed past Rajni's head, police said.

Though Rajni escaped unhurt, she was taken to a hospital for checkup.

Following the incident, Chotu ran away from the spot but was arrested by police on Saturday.

A case has also been registered against him.
