Woman killed by ex-employer

Sanjeev Kumar, the beauty parlour owner who allegedly shot dead a former employee on Sunday night, is absconding. The police said Kumar killed Pinky Singh, 25, in front of her husband, Surenjeet, and adopted son after an argument near the KDR wool factory on GT Karnal Road.

After an argument, Kumar asked Pinky to step out of the car and allegedly fired three shots at her, of which two hit her in the head. Rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, she was declared brought dead.

The police said the motive for the murder was not yet known. “We are investigating the case,” said a police officer. “So far, it looks like the accused forced Pinky to do immoral things at his beauty parlour. We suspect that she left the job because of this. We are taking down the statement of her husband, who is still in a state of shock.”

DCP (northwest) NS Bundela said, “We have registered a case of murder against Kumar, who is absconding.”
