Woman runs car over minor boy
A 14-year-old boy was killed in the Shipra Sun City area of Indirapuram in Ghaziabad on Thursday when a woman ran her car over some people. Peeyush Khandelwal reports.
A 14-year-old boy was killed in the Shipra Sun City area of Indirapuram in Ghaziabad on Thursday when a woman ran her car over some people. The boy died on the spot.

The police said that Manisha Chaudhary, aged around 28 and a resident of Shipra Sun City, rammed her Maruti Zen into a couple of people who were trying to erect a canopy for some advertisement. Chaudhary allegedly inadvertently sped up her car which led to the accident.
“Her car hit a minor which killed him instantly. She could not control the speed of the car as she tried to apply the brakes but pressed the accelerator in confusion,” Indirapuram station house officer, Rajesh Dwivedi said.
One of the eyewitnesses said that the car was nearing a speed of 70kmph when the accident took place.
“It hit two other people who managed to escape but the third one was ran over, killing him,” the eye-witness said.
The police said that the victim was a resident of Noida sector 35 and had come to Shipra Sun City for an advertising campaign. The woman has been taken into custody and booked under section 279/304A of IPC and was later produced at a Ghaziabad court.
