Woman trainer raped; health club manager arrested

A 24-year-old trainer was raped allegedly by the manager of a health club and molested by another trainer at the gym, where she is employed, on separate days, police said on Tuesday.

The incident was reported from a gym situated in DDA Sports Complex in Dwakra Sector 11. She was sexually assaulted inside a changing room of the gym.

The accused also allegedly beat her male friend when he got into an argument with them over the issue.

The incident came to light when the girl approached police on June 26 following which a case was registered.

The accused have been identified as Ajay Pratap, the gym manager and instructor Kamlesh, a resident of Kakrola.

The victim had approached the gym a month ago and was appointed as a trainee.

The victim alleged that Pratap raped on June 19 while Kamlesh molested her on June 22.

The victim claimed that she told her male friend about the incident who entered into an argument with the accused who allegedly beat him up.

He was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for treatment after which an FIR was registered.
