Youth gets 10 years in jail for abducting, raping minor girl
A local court today sentenced a youth to ten years imprisonment for abducting and raping a minor girl seven years back.

A local court today sentenced a youth to ten years imprisonment for abducting and raping a minor girl seven years back.
Additional District Sessions judge Ramesh Chand held Rajiv Kumar guilty of abduction and rape and sentenced him to ten years imprisonment. He so imposed a fine of Rs 2000 on him.
According to the prosecution, Rajiv had eloped with the girl, then only 16, in June 2002. The duo was, however, traced and rape charges subsequently levelled against Rajiv.
A medical test confirmed that the girl was raped.
