The nursery admission process for the next academic session is set to begin on January 1 and parents are already facing a host of problems, ranging from clarity on documents to be submitted, to different dates for submission of registration forms. Here is the admission schedule and a list of documents to be submitted in the schools while you are applying for admission of your ward for your reference.

SCHEDULE

Jan 1: Online registration begins for nursery admissions

Jan 22: Last date of submission for online registrations

Jan 30: Display list on the websites of all the registered candidates in the general category

Feb 5: Uploading of marks as per point system given to each kid who had applied under the general category

Feb 15: Display of first list of selected candidates, including the waiting list

Feb 29: Display of second list, if any

CHECK LIST

Birth certificate

Issued by municipal corporations

Proof of address

Ration card issued in the name of parents and the child/ Domicile certificate of the child or his/her parents/ Voter ID card of any one of the parents/ electricity bill or water bill or passport in the name of parents/ Aadhaar Card

Sibling certificate

Copy of fee bill of sibling Copy of report card

Proof of alumni

(varies from school to school) Copy of character certificate Alumni Association membership card Copy of passing certificate of class 10 and 12 Migration certificate

First child

Affidavit certifying the same

Application under staff quota

Details of employment

Date of employment

Minority category

Minority certificate

Special needs category

Details of disability from appropriate government authority/ Certificate from a clinical psychologist that the child is fit for mainstream schooling

Proof of being a single parent

Legal proof of custody of child In case of death of spouse — death certificate
