The Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared its Class 10 SSC results online. Check yours on www.mahresult.nic.in.
The board has announced that out of 17 lakh students in the state, 1.8 lakh have failed in less than three subjects. The pass percentage is 88.74%, with girls doing better - 91.46% have cleared the exam as against 86.51% boys. The success rate has dropped marginally by 0.8% compared to last year.
Around 48, 570 students secured above 90%.
As many as 81,000 students from across the state received extra marks for cultural activities such as singing, dancing, and drawing. On the other hand, only 3,903 students were awarded sports marks.
More than 17 lakh students, including 3.8 lakh from Mumbai division, from 21,433 schools across Maharashtra, appeared for the exam held in March, earlier this year.
The SSC scores are important as these play a vital role in the first year junior college (Class 11) admissions.
