NEET 2018: Over 10,000 medical aspirants took the entrance exam in Kota

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 was held at 20 centres in Kota from 10am to 1pm on May 6.

A total of 10,974 medical college aspirants attended the NEET examination 2018 in coaching city of Kota in Rajasthan on Sunday.

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 was held at 20 centres in Kota from 10am to 1pm.

Kota CBSE coordinator, Pradeep Singh Gaur said the examination was conducted under the supervision of 33 observers and a nine-member vigilance team of the CBSE.

Students had mixed reactions after the test.

One aspirant, Shivangi Kumari (17) said the Physics part was tougher than Chemistry and Biology sections.

She, however, stated that the questions were mostly based on the NCERT syllabus.

Harshita Sharma (17) too gave similar reactions. Palak Patel (17) said the inorganic chemistry part had more compound questions.

Namita Bhoi (17) felt that the Physics section had more questions based on Modern Physics and organic chemistry had more questions based on mechanism while inorganic chemistry had questions based on periodic table, chemical bonding and other topics.

Priyanka Roy (17) said the examination paper was moderate and not very tough. “So the cutoff of NEET is likely to remain high.”

The NEET paper carried maximum marks 720, with biology forming the most at 360 marks, and Physics and Chemistry getting 180 marks each.
