QS World Subject Rankings 2023: Top 100 list for Engineering and Technology
QS World Subject Rankings 2023 has been released today, March 22, 2023. IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi has secured positions in top 100 in Engineering and Technology area. Check complete list below.
The 13th edition of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2023 was released on Wednesday, March 22. These Rankings cover 54 disciplines, grouped into five broad subject areas. Data science, history of art, and marketing are three new subjects added this year for ranking purpose.

According to a press statement issued by QS, 44 programmes offered by Indian higher education institutions in different disciplines have figured in the top 100 globally this year. In 2022, 35 Indian programmes had made it to top-100. According to the release, Indian higher education institutions have done well in the fields of Computer Science, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Business Studies, and Physics.
The five broad subject areas for which Rankings have been released are: Engineering and Technology, Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Science and Social Sciences and Management.

Five components were used to rank universities including academic reputation, employer reputation research citations per paper, H-index, and international research network. The h-index is a way of measuring both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist or scholar. Responses were drawn from over 1,30,000 academics worldwide, the QS said.
