The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 6,468 senior teachers for the secondary education department.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 6,468 senior teachers for the secondary education department.
According to its advertisement (No 03/2016-17), candidates can apply for the posts online from July 25 to August 31. The last date for submission of application fee through e-Mitra is August 29.
The different subjects in which the vacancy has been announced along with the number of posts created are Hindi (1269), English (626), mathematics (442), science (248), social science (1531), Sanskrit (2295), Urdu (39) and Punjabi (18).
The candidates applying for the post should be a minimum of 18 years and maximum of 35 years as on January 1, 2017.
The educational qualification required for applying for the post depends on the subject in which a candidate wants to apply. A candidate applying for Hindi, English, mathematics, Sanskrit, Urdu and Punjabi should be a graduate or should have passed an equivalent examination with concerned subject as an optional and have a degree or diploma in education recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Those applying for science, should be a graduate or have an equivalent degree with at least two of the following subjects as optional subjects: physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, microbiology, biotechnology and biochemistry. They should also have a degree or diploma in education recognised by the NCTE.
Candidates applying for social science should be a graduate or must have passed equivalent examination with at least two of the subjects mentioned from among, history, geography, economics, political science, sociology, public administration and philosophy, as optional subjects. They should also have a degree or diploma in education recognised by the government of Rajasthan.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture is essential for candidates applying for any of the above-mentioned subjects.
