Non-governmental organisation CRY (formerly Child Rights and You) has announced its summer internships for 2012 as part of the CRY volunteer action programme. The internships are available in Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi. For a minimum duration of six weeks, CRY internship programmes are designed to allow interns to put into practice and thus deepen their theoretical knowledge of development issues and understand challenges in the domain of child rights in an Indian context. The internships also provide an opportunity to learn advocacy, researching, campaigning, and networking skills. Participants can also learn on-ground volunteer work by undertaking systematic field work , research , fact finding, report writing etc. Each internship is customised to match the intern's interest with CRY's requirements and involves clear deliverables and timelines along with regular evaluations of progress. Those interested may send their resumes with Statements of Purpose and a brief note on one child rights issue to: rajakumari.michael@crymail.org. For more information, visit www.cry.org
