The written examination(objective type) is being held to recruit personnel for the posts included in Tamil Nadu ministerial service, judicial ministerial service, survey and land records subordinate service and secretariat service (Combined Civil Services Examination 4 or CCSE Group IV services).
The examination was held on February 11.
Now after the declaration of results, a tentative list of eligible candidates for certificate verification will be announced, on the basis on the marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination. After verification of the original certificates, the eligible candidates will be summoned for counselling to allot the post and Unit/Department in the order of rank and category to which they are eligible as per the vacancy position.
TNPSC had released the notification for the examination on November 14, 2017 and aspirants were asked to send their application online by December 13, 2017. The commission released the hall tickets/admit cards for the written examination in the last week of January 2018.
The answer key for the examination were also released soon after the examination. Candidates were asked to send their objections to the answer key to the TNPSC office by February 21.
According to media reports, about 20 lakh candidates had applied for the examination out of which around 16 lakh appeared. Hindustan Times does not have any independent confirmation about the number of candidates who appeared in the examination.

1) Visit TNPSC’s official website and click on server 1 or server 2.
2) Enter ‘register number’ and click on submit
3) Marks obtained by candidate and his rank position will be displayed on the screen
4) Take a printout for future reference
